The biggest hit to my self-confidence was in math. While it was an honors class and I understood that it would be difficult for me to adjust, my grade kept dropping.


I was actually so embarrassed by something I did at school that I was scared of bullying the next year. That caused me to leave school two weeks into fourth grade. We first went to Nova, a school in which I had to work at home and then come in once a week for a check-up. My parents had split, and during that time my interest in school and learning plummeted.


The effects of my parents still had a huge impact on me throughout the first years of high school. This resulted in me not caring as much as I did before. As time went on I realized I could get by in school with little to no effort, my friends would almost always help out and take the extra workload on our group projects making things much easier on me. My parents and I had a very close and solid relationship, although it was my lack of commitment and effort in school that sometimes would separate us. My mother was concerned because my brother had adapted and made tons of friends but I on the other hand spent my days inside my room.


Last year in January my mother and I decided it would be in my best interest to switch schools. Also it was the first year I had ever had homework and it was hard for me because I wasn't used to it and they gave us a lot of homework more than we get here.


So my mom took me out of Lewis And Clark Montessori Charter School and I ended up here, at Marysville. This was important to me because I was leaving who and what I grew up with and I was incredibly scared for what was to come.


I do not want to do any homework and always beaten by the parents at home and at school by the teachers. I barely passed my all classes.
